Going beyond headshots…

Photography branding sessions generate storytelling visuals for people who are ready to accelerate their business growth, launch new products, or offer a new service.

My Small Business Branding sessions are designed to build a content library you can use for marketing on your website, social media, and print materials. I translate your story into flexible images that give your audience reasons to connect with you.

My background in visual communications and neuroscience helps me approach branding photography strategically.

Photographing Sip’s Savory Avocado Toast (and adding an egg) was an intentional decision to bring visibility to the kitchen menu offerings that weren’t well known in our town.

Commercial Photography + Branding

About ten years ago, I began to connect with local businesses to work on commercial photography projects. I love the energy of hearing an entrepreneur or creative describe a tangible product that was once just a concept. It’s an honor to witness their journey and photograph the souls behind the stories.

I enjoy working with artisan makers to design compelling product photography content. We collaborate closely so that the images I deliver are aligned with your goals & appeal to your target audience.

Story-driven brand photography allows your audience to connect with you before they ever walk through your door.

My Love Letters to Tipp City blog series is an example of how to integrate photographs with stories.

Cognitive research shows that information presented within a narrative structure is significantly more memorable than isolated facts. Stories activate multiple regions of the brain (including areas responsible for emotion, memory, and sensory experience). This creates deeper engagement and retention.

How does this apply to small business branding?

Your audience values authenticity and local options.

When your imagery consistently reflects your process, environment, and personality, you become recognizable and credible. Before you know it, you are the natural & preferred choice.
