If you are new here, welcome. I’m Andrea.
My work is split in two dimensions of time:
the past and the future.
Looking Back
Editorial Nostalgia & Portrait Sessions
Documentary portrait sessions and short films of the people, rituals, and moments that mean the most to you. Guided so you feel comfortable, but unscripted for authentic moments to unfold. This is how ordinary Tuesdays become unforgettable and part of your family’s legacy.
After working with me, you’ll have something that can’t be recreated or replaced.
Looking Ahead
Headshots & Business Branding Sessions
Strategic imagery for professionals and businesses ready to be seen. Your portraits should reflect your expertise and vision. So when people meet you, there is alignment between your online presence and the person in front of them. This builds trust and deepens connection.
After working with me, you are positioned to control how the world sees you & your business.
Maybe you’ve been here before & ready to connect. Here’s a shortcut:
Editorial Nostalgia Sessions
Cook Me a Meal & Tell Me a Story…
Editorial Nostalgia sessions are for people who understand that the most important photographs aren't taken at milestones. They're taken on ordinary days, in your kitchen, or wherever life is unfolding with the people who matter most.
Whatever it is, I am here to honor and preserve the memories…
The garden you’ve tended tenderly for thirty years.
Saturday morning
coffee rituals at home.
Your Grandmother’s soup recipe that everyone loves.
Your meticulously curated vinyl collection.
What is an Editorial Nostalgia Session?
-
An Editorial Nostalgia session is a documentary portrait experience built around your real life. This could be a meal you make, a ritual you keep, a story you carry. It combines documentary photography, cinematic short film, & illustrative portrait work into a single session artifact: part family anthology, part magazine feature, part film. Sessions take place in your home or a meaningful location. These sessions amplify ordinary moments we often take for granted.
-
If you've ever struggled to find a meaningful gift for someone who has everything, this is it.
For the person in your life who doesn't need more things, but whose story deserves to be witnessed:
Anniversary Gifts
Milestone Birthdays
Parent Tributes
Mother’s Day
Father’s Day
Retirement
New Baby
Grandkids with Grandma or Grandpa
Holiday & Christmas Recipes
Editorial Nostalgia Sessions Can Be Booked for Couples & Groups:
Before a Wedding, Anniversary, or Event: For the couple who wants their love story on display, with a portrait session and short film that plays at the reception, greets guests at the door, or becomes the thing people talk about after the flowers are gone.
Before a Move or Remodel: For the home you're about to leave or change forever. The kitchen that fed everyone. The backyard where everything happened. Some spaces deserve a proper goodbye.
For a Reunion or Simply When Family is Visiting: For the gathering that only happens once a year or is a special visit. The table full, the generations in the same room, the cousin who flew in. Document it while everyone is still here.
-
We plan and get to know each other before the session. I send information and feedback to help you feel prepared. I use gentle guidance to help you feel comfortable. As comfortable as someone can feel with cameras in the room. ;)
We keep the session unscripted enough to feel authentic, but I do help with some posing and feedback. Most sessions run 2–3 hours, depending on the scope.
I’ll come with questions, but I aim to make it feel like a conversational experience.

These sessions focus on people first. Then we build a visual story from there. After 15 years shooting in Ohio, where natural light has opinions of its own, I’m able to light any area to find the beauty in it. I love to find the perfect vignette in rooms people have stopped seeing. During your Discovery Call, we'll walk through your space together and I'll tell you exactly what I see in it. You will likely be surprised at how I see your home through my camera lenses!
-
A curated gallery of documentary photographs, a short cinematic film (3–5 minutes), and select illustrative portrait images. All delivered through a private gallery. Physical prints and framed heirloom pieces are available, and encouraged! These images are meant to be printed and passed down through generations.
-
Sessions are currently offered at a founding rate listed below. Reach out or book a brief call to discuss your session. Pricing is transparent and there are no surprise fees.

Yes, and it photographs beautifully as one. Gift certificates are available as framed 5×7 prints on fine art paper, designed to be displayed before the session and replaced with a session photograph afterward.

An Editorial Nostalgia Session is for you if…
You've watched a chapter of your life close and thought, “I need to remember this exactly as it is right now.”
You want to remember her grandmother's hands as she rolls out dough. The way your son's face looks when he plays guitar and forgets anyone is watching. The smell of something simmering that no recipe will ever fully capture.
You're the parent whose senior just chose a dream school a thousand miles away. The adult who keeps meaning to document the way your family gathers before everyone scatters. The couple who wants to remember how their garden looks in summer light.
You don't need a reason that sounds important.
These sessions celebrate the ordinary. Because often, it’s changes before we’re ready.
John & Judy | Photographed 2014
“Andrea has an eye for beauty, but not only what is seen on the surface, but her photos brought to life the stories that were important to my parents and our family history. She took the time to get to know them and then photograph them in their own environment. They got to tell Andrea what they saw important and she drew out their personalities.
My parents have since passed. We have a written story in pictures of them. When thinking about it, it's because this sitting was taken when they were aged into maturity with wrinkles, smiles that show appreciation of time lived, and like children were proud to show Andrea what they liked and enjoyed. These moments are keepsakes that are treasured and looked at in this digital age. Recommend for any age to be captured, but truly special to see the joy and love my parents expressed about themselves.”

What to Expect:
Editorial Nostalgia Sessions
You can start with a fragment of a concept or a whole scene in mind.
Begin with Conversation
1
I want to hear your story so we can plan with intention. Most Discovery Calls/meetings are 20–30 minutes and help us clarify expectations.
If you are local to Tipp City and Dayton, I prefer to meet in person to preview the spaces & allow us to brainstorm in real-time together.
We’ll also talk through how your images will be used. Some clients love to share, others prefer complete discretion. Your privacy is always respected, and nothing is shared without your permission.
Booking
2
After our call, I’ll send a customized quote based on the scope of your story and the details we discussed. These sessions are designed as a thoughtful investment, reflecting the time, planning, and care involved.
Sessions are secured with a 50% non-refundable retainer that outlines deliverables & usage. Payment options include secure bank transfer, credit card, and check.
Plan with Purpose
3
You’ll receive a Story Brief that outlines location, people, wardrobe, and meaningful details.
These sessions are designed to be intentional and unhurried, so you’ll have a customized planning tool to help you feel prepared and at ease.
Session Day
4
This is the fun part. I’ll gently guide the experience while leaving space for natural moments to unfold.
Most people arrive unsure that their space is “photogenic,” and leave surprised by how natural it felt. No one is awkward when they feel at peace.
Your Story is Delivered
5
Your gallery, written narrative, and any selected add-ons are delivered within four to six weeks.
Time Is Passing Faster Than We Can Hold Onto It
Let’s capture everything you want to remember about what life looks like right now.
Session Details
& Pricing
-
A ritual, recipe, or moment documented with reverence.
For most stories, that’s somewhere between two and four hours together.
For larger families or more complex coverage, we'll talk through scope before you book so there are no surprises.
Short films, heirloom albums, and archival wall prints can be added to any session.
This is a founding rate, limited availability at this price.
-
A 60–90 second documentary of your session with ambient sound, real moments, no narration. The way the kitchen sounded that morning. The way you laughed. The record spinning on the turntable.
This is the thing you will watch on a Tuesday twenty years from now and be grateful exists.
Launching Summer of 2026.
-
Professionally printed on archival paper by a professional print lab I have trusted for over fifteen years. Bound to last generations. These are not photo books from a drugstore, they are archives designed to be displayed and passed down through generations.
Designed collaboratively after your session. Delivered within 4–6 weeks of image selection and approval.
-
A photograph that lives on your wall is a different object than one that lives on your phone. I work with a professional lab to produce museum-quality prints in sizes from 11×14 to 24×36, mounted on white styrene or finished as canvas.
After your gallery is delivered, I'll help you identify the image that deserves a wall. Most clients know immediately which one it is.
-
One family. One ongoing story. Return visits across seasons and milestones such as a new baby, a child leaving for college, a tradition quietly disappearing, a garden in every season.
This is the work I am most proud of. Includes optional film, print, and album selections each visit or as a collection. Inquire to discuss what this looks like for your family.
