Today I’m highlighting a place that has been part of my family holidays for many years. My Dad always has assorted nuts available for snacking and he’s mentioned shopping at Trophy Nut occasionally. However, I had never visited inside myself. When he recommended that I do a couple weeks ago, I couldn’t believe that I’ve lived in Tipp for a decade and not stepped inside. I realized that if that were the case for me, perhaps other people would benefit from knowing more about it.

There are so many great gifts, stocking stuffers, and of course, I found my own new favorite treats.
Trophy Nut is a short driving distance from downtown Main Street with a large parking lot. They have a large assortment of nuts, chocolate, candy, & nostalgic sweets like French burnt peanuts that my Mom loved as a child.
They’ve been at this location since the 1970’s and launched the factory store in 1981 at the Tipp City Mum Festival (it’s just a short walk from City Park). They are one of Tipp City’s best kept secrets!
The bike path is on the other side of the building down a hill. When you pass the factory, the air smells like sweet cotton candy. I’ve wondered what was on the other side of that aroma, and now I know.
Their Christmas Tree Pretzels are some of their most popular Christmas items, and they made over 700 lbs and still sold out this year. They had some other variations available in small quantities (last time I checked)!
The Chocolate Double Dipped Peanuts are perfect just as they are. However, my son, Kevin, has been making us Mexican hot chocolate, and I was curious how these chocolate peanuts would taste if I coated them with a Tajin, cayenne pepper, cumin, and cinnamon mixture. I read that I could use a hair dryer on low to melt the chocolate for better visuals, and so I coated them after slightly heating them. It was better than I expected. Adding some spice would be a great way to bag them up for adult stockings or to set them out for a holiday party with a twist.
Would love to hear your ideas for how to prepare them with your favorite flavors!
Please note that these pictures were taken in early December, and their inventory has changed due to holiday shopping demand. Some items pictured may not be in stock.
