Today I’m highlighting an event that the Downtown Tipp City Partnership (DTCP) hosts: The 2026 St. Paddy’s Beer Crawl.
The event sold out this year, so I recommend taking advantage of early bird discounts for tickets in 2027!

On a moody March Saturday, we enjoyed a magical little window between rain & snow for the annual St. Paddy’s Beer Crawl. I loved the speakeasy vibe inside of the Royal Crest Agency Insurance.
It was my first time attending the St. Paddy’s Beer Crawl, so I looked online to see what it would entail.
From the DTCP, “the event blends a festive St. Patrick’s Day celebration with a focused investment in the long-term vitality of the downtown district. Participants will explore downtown, enjoying 4-ounce pours of beer, cider, and seltzers at participating locations. Each ticket includes 12 tasting tickets and a commemorative pint glass. Throughout the evening, attendees will experience the energy of downtown businesses while discovering new spaces, flavors, and connections within the district.”
Everything tasted as good as it looked!
The event started with check-in at Mauk Cabinet by Design. While it is a “go at your own pace” event, I highly recommend arriving at the beginning of the event. They offer a beautiful spread of snacks, baked goods, vegetables, fruit, and more. When purchasing tickets, there was an option for designated drivers to participate in the event without buying a beer passport.
Each person was given a “passport” with participating locations. As a DORA community, participants could meander through historic downtown and enjoy visiting shops like Bloomora Botanicals and Thunder Forge while enjoying beverages.
Some shops also offered snacks and Living Simply Soap had a spread of chili dogs & Reuben hot dogs (the one I chose!).
If you’re not familiar with the Downtown Tipp City Partnership, it’s a nonprofit that exists to “enhance, preserve, and promote our downtown.” Their work often extends to reach all of Tipp City & people outside of our community often attend events.
If you are like me, I used to stumble upon events throughout the year that I didn’t even know existed. You can follow the DTCP for news and updates, especially because many of the ticketed events offer early bird discounts and often sell out. After joining the DTCP Promotions Committee, I can see that their success is due to the collaboration of volunteers, small business owners, and community leaders who care deeply about investing in a city we are proud of.
DTCP Executive Director Tasha Weaver also co-hosts The Downtown Lowdown with Greg Enslen (Clocktower Media, The Tippecanoe Gazette), a weekly podcast that shares the stories behind the storefronts, the people, and the ongoing work of preserving Tipp City. I enjoy the deep-dive conversations while I’m walking.
If this felt like something you would’ve enjoyed, keep an eye on what’s coming next on DTCP’s Facebook & Instagram!
I’ve created this series to show why our town is such a beautiful place to live and visit. I’m thankful for all of you who are sharing memories of living in Tipp or what you love most about the shops & dining here. I want everyone to see Tipp City for the treasure that it is!
If you love the images, sending a photography referral my way is one of the kindest ways to support my work. And if you stop into any places I feature, let them know you saw them here.
Thank you!
