Hello & Welcome
I’ve been working this summer to build this site and portfolio of pet photography, and am so excited to start sharing this with you.
Photography as an art form was introduced to me while I was in college earning my degree in Graphic Design at Sinclair (graduated in 2008). It began as a curiosity, but naturally evolved into my career. Styling food in my kitchen for school projects & my own creative baking, unknowingly opened doors to expand photography service to others. Through the last twelve years, I've cultivated my craft. Now I’ve chosen to specialize in pet portrait photography, personal branding (head shots), and artisan commercial photography for creatives.
I enjoy variety in the projects I accept, and most of the photography I create can be explained by three categories:
Pet Portrait Photography - We start by creating a relaxing environment for the session, and my climate controlled studio offers space for your furry one to visit me. If you prefer, I am also available to meet on-location or in your home. We preserve these images through prints, albums, & heirloom wooden boxes. I want every image to stand on its own, yet have a greater purpose in a collection that can be savored for generations to come.
Personal Branding Photography- More than a simple quickie snapshot, this is an experience that allows you to be showcased as a reflection of who you are. Prior to the session, I work with you to prepare wardrobe styling, suggest hair & makeup artists, and give you helpful advice to prepare for your portrait session. In addition to printed artwork, digital files are also available for purchase at the reveal and ordering session.
Commercial & Editorial Photography- I represent small businesses' visual brand identity through specialized photography that illustrates the client's vision. In 2014, I began to connect with local (women owned) businesses to work on commercial photography projects. I enjoy applying my background in design to create a complete visual branding experience through photography. If you have a unique business idea or want to reconstruct your online appearance, please get in touch with me so we can collaborate on how I can translate your concepts into imagery. I especially enjoy working with artisan makers to design compelling product photography sets and produce images that will appeal to your target audience in with a creative, thoughtful, and meticulous method. I have a background in neuroscience research, and take pride in my thorough and precise (obsessive?) approach to product photography.
For the people that have supported my art for years, thank you.
Excited to do more of this.
-Andrea
